Intro – Here is Bill Shade with today’s “Moment from God’s Word”.
Message – In a world that calls evil good, and good evil; that puts darkness for light, and light for darkness; Truth becomes a scarce commodity. There is not much of it to be found in the arena of public discourse. But the young man David found the solution when he declared in Psalm 119:30, I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
That is the key to finding Truth – it is only found when we “choose the way of truth,” and that Truth is found only in God’s judgments – God’s Word. David declared that he had, laid God’s judgments before him. The word Judgments is Mishpawt; properly a verdict or formal decree. In the context, David had determined to call good what God Judicially pronounced good, and call evil what God decreed to be evil, and in doing so he had chosen the way of Truth. So ask yourself, Have I chosen the way of truth? Do I judge what is good and what is evil by God’s decrees? Something to think about.
